... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 PM EST
Wednesday...

* locations... portions of the Central Highlands... upper
Penobscot valley... interior downeast... including the greater
Bangor region.

* Hazard types... snow... sleet and freezing rain.

* Accumulations... snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 3 inches.

* Ice accumulations... around one half of an inch.

* Timing... through Wednesday morning.

* Impacts... expect very hazardous conditions. Snow, sleet and a
layer of ice will produce dangerous conditions. Ice may down
trees and cause branches to snap with numerous power outages
possible.

* Winds... northeast 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* Temperatures... in the upper 20s to lower 30s.

* Visibilities... one quarter to one half mile at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow...
sleet... and ice are expected. Strong winds are also possible.
This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.

Advisory... which is in effect until 4 am EST Wednesday. The Gale
Warning has been cancelled.

* Winds... northeast 15 to 25 kt with a few gusts up to 35 kt.

* Seas... 6 to 9 feet.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 25 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
Inexperienced mariners... especially those operating smaller
vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.
