Issued: 4:21 PM EST Jan. 16, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 1 PM Tuesday to 7 am
EST Wednesday...

The National Weather Service in Taunton has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... sleet... and perhaps a touch of
freezing rain... which is in effect from 1 PM Tuesday to 7 am
EST Wednesday.

* Locations... central Middlesex County.

* Hazard types... include snow... sleet... and perhaps a touch of
freezing rain.

* Accumulations... 2 to 4 inches of snow... except up to 5 inches
near the New Hampshire border.

* Timing... late afternoon Tuesday into early Wednesday.

* Impacts... wintry precipitation will likely result in hazardous
travel conditions on untreated roads... especially bridges...
and overpasses. Parking lots and sidewalks will become
slippery as well.

* Visibilities... one quarter to one half mile at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
