Tweaks to equipment still causing errors, but better...

Was surprised to see a spider in the Aneometer (not the 3 scoops type, but rather an impeller within a short tunnel) again, and it had jammed the Ameometer again. It spins freely, but still reads about 5 kts low. It took a big hit early this summer from a black capped Heron, which looks very similar to a Kukaburra bird, both in shape and size. I love birds and welcomed these rare bad boys to our block of trees (am closed to NYC and congestion limits the trees in town, but we are in an old park with old growth oaks), but if they are near the cars, it looks like someone spills a milkshake beneath where they roost.

Haven't fired up on HF Amateur Radio yet, so I'm not sure how the new ferrites will work. Temp. error enough to still keep me off of CWOP, but I'm close enough to stay on Awekas and WU... Fall is definitely on the way
