I have been a "weather geek" all of my life and living in the tropics since '79 has just made it more interesting. Great site for info and friends.

Betsey has Baron's website set up.
I didn't know if I should post it here or not or keep it a secret and just send it out to a few of you that may be interested but I googled my grandson's name and his website pops up.. so it is out there! LOL Of course, like these blogs this one doesn't have any real personal information like last names or such. Pam did one when Cole was born and it was great.
Tuesday Feb 26th; Baron's Doctor report check up was great and he is now 4 lbs 7 oz! The pics below were from last week when he was around 4 lbs. 3 oz.
Tuesday, Feb 26th: around 1:30pm Rylee and I came inside after being in pool and hot tub since 12noon. She went home and I ran some errans. Heard on radio about 4 Million people from Daytona Bch to Key West across to Tampa without power??? My area is fine! No storms anywhere near me and we have power. Like I said, Rylee and I were in the pool and it is hot and humid outside.
I know Miami Dade county has been greatly affected; and they have closed their schools and parents have to pick up the children. Broward County is keeping schools BAU... Broward County is basically BAU...only a few areas here, mostly in SW areas of Davie and Weston and Pembrook Pines are affected.
Tuesday, Feb 26th: Happy Birthday LakeWorthFinn, aka Liisa!!!!

added after below was done this morning.
It is now 7pm... in my neighborhood; we had that little severe shower that gave us 1/2" rain in 20 mins...then back to warm sunshine..Right now it is little after 7pm and while I was outside with hubby as we were closing down today's work... it occured to me..
he is in t-shirt and gym shorts...
I am in tank top and gym shorts...
it is warm enought I am sitting on the pool steps with feet in water...while we are cleaning up the pool deck area..
now we are grilling chicken...and it is still very warm... This is Paradise.. as much as I may complain about my area in which I live with it's high cost and foreign population...
Right now I am outside in shorts and tank top in February...... Case Closed.
Record breaking heat here in my area yesterday and expected again today. While doing my walk/run it was as hot as it is in the summer months. Yesterday many places made it to 90 and expected to get almost that hot today.
Feels like Summer and I tell you.. OK with me.
(Bills I know you don't like it quite that hot! LOL)
Got a project (yard work) I've been wanted to get done for months..going to try and get it done this afternoon.
Hope to have some new pictues to post here later in the week.
Enjoy your Weekend everyone!
Feb 26th, got 3 new pictures of Baron Betsey took last week when he was about 4 1/2 weeks old and weight about 4lbs 3 oz.

Sat: Feb 23:
I was channel surfing last night watching the political news (FOX, CNN, MSNBC, ETC) and on MSNBC they were talking about Obama and some of the "hits" he was taking (MSNBC is obviously way way for Obama, CNN supports Hillary and of course, Fox leans toward McCain) anyway, Keith Obrian was talking about the blogs picking on poor Obama and he mentioned a "hit" on him from Weatherunderground! nothing more was said about it and I was stunned. Do any of you recall which blog this was in and when it was posted???
NO WAY!!! Do news people now read our WU blogs for news??? ISN'T THAT CRAZY!!!
Later in morning, new info!!!
OK few hours later, found out Oberman (not obrian) was talking about a radical group from 60's called Weather Underground... not us! LOL
Tuesday, Feb 19:
Baron just return from his first doctor's visit since he got to go home Sunday morning and he now weights 4 lbs 1 oz!!!! He gained 5 ozs in past 2 days and the doctor was so impressed! He laughted at Betsey and Scott because they kept a very detailed diary of EVERYTHING that baby did since he got home...every date and time he peed or pooped or how much he tood from bottle or how long he nursed... how long he slept; how long awake, you name it they had it recorded...Betsey said he told them they didn't have to be that "anal" about these things but some of it is helpful to have that record in caes something goes wrong. It was funny some of their conversations with the doctor about their first baby and what they should or should not be doing at home!
Sunday, Feb 17th:
Baby Baron got to come home this morning... a day earlier than expected. details & updates in posts below. He passed all his tests in flying colors and is now enjoying his own home and his own stuff!
Friday, Feb 15, 2008:
I decided to open up a new thread in case I don't make it back to my blog until Monday or Tuesday!
I am at work today until late but Hubby's sister and her family have arrived from California this morning and will be our house guests until Monday. Also his sister & family from Orlando & Gainesville will be in town all weekend but they are staying with another friend.
And I had to lie to my Father In Law about being at work today; he thinks I am off today and tomorrow taking care of a tree trimming crew making a mess in our yard. He wanted to come over to our house to clean his car; he likes doing that when no one is home so we hope if he thinks I am home and the yard crew has the place a mess he will not drop by!
Why , because he has no idea his daughters are going to be at our home today and tonight and we must keep him away from our house or it will ruin his surprise. Tomorrow at 1pm about 50-60 family and friends are having a Surprise 80th Birthday Party for my Father In Law. His real birthday is March 2nd but by having it this weekend, the ones from out of town get the extra day on the long weekend. We are having it Saturday afternoon so we don't have to keep their being in town a secret any longer than we have too. They want to have some time to spend with him also while here.
So far we have pulled it off. Been in planning for about 5 months now and he doesn't have a clue. I'm going to make the "Sign In" board with a blown up old picture of him in his "youth". And we've all made up some DVD's of old family pictures to play at the dinner party.
He thinks he is going to one of his friend's Surprise Birthday Party... we made up a "fake" invitation to send him! LOL
Anyway, with all of the company and activities and a crazy day at work today I don't know when I will get back on here. Tis my life lately!
So to all my WU friends, hope you have a wonderful weekend and I will check back when I can!

Wednesday, Feb 6, 2008:
Went up to Lake Okeechobee yesterday afternoon for fishing. My Dad, Smom, and me. Since he didn't bring his camper this year we stayed in a local motel and went out night fishing last night. So much fun; once the wind settled down it was realy nice out there. Clear night with a sky full of stars. So Many Stars it was unreal; they were like spilled glitter in the dark sky.
I loaded up 5 pictures waiting for approval. Two sunsets and two of the fish we caught and one of the Pelicans at the dock waiting on breakfast! LOL
The lake looks good; still very low but the fishing is great. We were going to fish this morning but the wind was just too strong to get out there today.
Enjoy the Pictures.
Baron Update: Thank you all for your posts and prayers; he is doing great. Haven't gotten a new weight update but he appears to be gaining an oz every 24 hrs and is getting stronger and stronger. he will probably get to go home by end of February. I think hubby and I will be making a trip up there in early April. I will continue to give you "Baron Updates" in this blog ... just wanted to do some new Lake O Pictures.
