Wednesday's Question of the Day
Good morning to each and everyone. I think it’s time for a little rambling.
Hello to the late night people who come in and right the ship and put this blog back on topic. Your comments might not get the replies that the morning ones do but they add to the consensus and are still read by many. It’s nice to wake up and see that other people still had an opinion on the topic.
Studies now show that 25 million people are now underinsured. These are not those without any insurance. These are not those on welfare receiving government assistance. These are the working poor, the forgotten people and chances are, they’re people who read this blog. Something must be done as a slowing economy and possible recession will only add to these numbers.
My 8 year old was talking with mom last night as he was heading to bed. He has decided that he wants boobs when he grows up. Oh, he doesn’t want to give up his boy parts as he so aptly called them, but boobs are cool. God help us all. I’m just glad mom got to field this one and I didn’t.
I haven’t talked about the forecasting contest in awhile. I surprised myself by staying in 3rd place overall in the contest after Omaha. As of today Mobal is in first place and Skypony keeps on inching her way up the leader board. Another surprise is CG. If she had started playing from the beginning she would be right there in the thick of things. Who would figure that mere girls, sky and CG could forecast. I wonder though, if the forecasting might be keeping them out of the kitchen too much and they both are neglecting their wifely duties. We might need to call Mr. Sky and Mr. CG.
Yesterday on one of the blogs a stink was made over what a candidate had said about sex education. Now of course, it was typically done with the whole quote conveniently left out and edited to portray the candidate in the worst light from the opposing viewpoint, but it got me to thinking. Has sex education helped? Of course that got me to not just accepting my thoughts as facts and instead perusing for information and I was surprised at what I found out so I thought why not bring it to the table. Now, I’m going to leave the politics out. Once again, you’ve got numerous blogs to share your wisdom of how great you can prove your points and bash your fellow bloggers, this isn’t the venue for it, instead the QOD:
How do you feel sex education should be taught?
