This is a blog for "people". You're not defined by your latest & greatest. You are you and that's great enough.

It's 3 days until the Obamacare plan goes online. I've already looked at the kaiser Foundations estimator and it appears that after 4 years I'll finally be able to afford health insurance once again. As for Jessica who pays up the nose due to preexisting conditions, her premiums will drop in half. I've heard from other self pay individuals and they are also expecting decreases in premiums. The reason I right this though is due to all the misinformation that is out there. Those against it all have friends who have a relative that is going to be screwed, while those for it have friends who have a friend who has died because they don't have insurance. The common thread though regardless of which side you are on is that most have no idea whatsoever the basic tenets of the plan. Oh they all have an opinion but facts are in short supply and it leads to the QOD?
Do you understand Obamacare?

Hold onto your hats, yes, hell may be freezing over, as strange as this tropical season has been so is my QOD. yes folks, it's weather related!!
I saw the following comment, yes, posted by one of the younger Doc Masters bloggers and I just had to comment. My question in the good Doc's blog is relevant here as there and here it is;
Quoting 3. CaribBoy:

I think a mod or two needs a laxative. Seems the above picture earned me a whopping 5 minute ban. yes a whole 5 minutes. Now you can look at Doc's blog right now and see fighting amongst bloggers, off topic comments, but a picture of crow not aimed at anyone specific with appropriate post detailing how active we are at the moment and wham, you get put in a corner. I've said it before and I'll say it again:
Without Equal Enforcement Moderators Are A Sham.
OK, my rant is over and it's time for fun and frivolity. A wonderful opener of pro football as my niners are undefeated. yes I know, half of the NFL is also undefeated, but it sounds so nice to say we're undefeated.
Jeff Gordon didn't make the chase. He's still my favorite driver but I'm wondering if his days as a top performer are over.
I still don't know what the Twerk is, nor do I care to find out
Hope has now decided she should speak Spanglish. "I want mas" was the phrase of the day and it took me forever to figure out what in the heck mas was till I finally asked her, do you want more and she said yes, like whew, finally dad.
poor Jo Jo, I have to take him to the dentist tomorrow. he needs a crown, a filling, a tooth removed and a "lip tie' cut. he's gonna be out for the count. Also, we are so trying to keep him listed as a regular student but 1st grade is proving to be a challenge. we will have to do the tier 1, which means a tutor and if that doesn't keep him to class level we'll have to go to tier 2. Oh, Joe is autistic if you were wondering.
It seems Zimmerman cannot keep himself out of the spotlight as Monday night he was arrested, not charged at this time however, for a domestic situation with his soon to be divorced wife. There was talk of a gun, and there was talk of violence against his father in law, but now the estranged wife does not want to press charges and it leads to the QOD:
Does this change your opinion of George Zimmerman or reinforce it?

Hello from the wonder high dessert city of El Paso. The hottest days are behind us and cool to cold evenings with warm days are to be had. Now if we could just add a touch, OK a lot of green. and a lake or two, I might just like it here.
There's a lot of talk about Syria and what our response should be to the suspected government gas attacks on their own citizens. I'm guessing that my Facebook account is not the only one with various posts and viewpoints on the subject. What has surprised me though is those that support military intervention and those that don't cross party lines and positions on the political spectrum. I can't recall when I've seen such an event. There's usually overwhelming support by all sides or overwhelming dissent and far too often opinions based along party sides. Not so with opinions concerning Syria. many of my right and left wing friends support military action and just as many from both sides do not support it and so I bring you the QOD:
Do you support a United States military involvement in Syria?
