This is a blog for "people". You're not defined by your latest & greatest. You are you and that's great enough.

Let's start with some odds & ends -
Tic toc, tic toc, Preeclampsia has shortened the date.
Libyan and Egyptian protesters; now there are some Tea Party protestors I can respect.
Higher oil prices; a temporary nuisance, one that I will hapilly endure as we watch the world oust a few more dictators.
Nascar has started. Did it ever end? The longest season of any sport and I thank them for it.
Two ICE agents die in Mexico two weeks ago. In two weeks the Mexican Army arrests 6 cartel members and the US rounds up over 600 Mexican cartel members seizing over 12 million dollars. Why does it take something like this for law enforcement to get off their butts and do their job?
The White House says they will not defend traditional marriage any longer. What? marriage is not between one man and one waoman? Regardless of what your personal views on the subject are, this is big news and it leads to the QOD:
What is your definition of marriage?

Well, I didn't have time to post this yesterday so let's get an early start on tomorrow.
I watched the game as most did. I detest the packers enough that I won't congratulate them on their win especially since the Steelers allowed them to win more than the packers earned it. However, more important than the game to myself and to most that watched were the commercials. I have to say that all in all this was a dismal year in terms of quantity of good ads and originality. I did have my favorite wheich I thought it was very good, but all in all I felt they could have been much better, but it does lead to the QOD:
What was your favorite Super Bowl commercial?

Ahhhhh, we're having a major heat wave as I awoke this morning to a balmy 18 degrees. We will finally get above freezing today. Let me tell you I've learned what cold is and that is a windchill of minus 14 in just seconds my unprotected nose was numb.
ODDS & ENDS
Why are our conservative friends so concerned about Egypt adopting a Parlimentary style of government where the people have more of a voice? Could it be that they actually favor dictatorships?
As a Niner fan I guess I'm not supposed to be too excited about the superbowl tomorrow except for the fact that I despise the Packers. So let me say, GO STEELERS, and may you not just win but I ask that you humiliate them to boot.
Can we have a WHOOT WHOOT for the game ending one end of the court to the other swish tossed by a girls high school basketball player just as the buzzer sounded? If I find the Youtube I'll share it.
The nursery is finished. I don't have the pics of Hope's room uploaded on this computer but at some point I'll post them.
What an uproar over the new format here at WU. So many new blog postershave voiced their opinion and I'm surprised about how vehement so many are in their dislike. I love the new layout so I can't wrap myself around so many's displeasure and I laugh at how so many threaten to leave. We all know at least a handful of bloggers that were going to leave and still are here. When you're WU once, you're WU for life and that leads to the QOD:
How resistant to change are you?

8 Degrees here in the dessert. Iced roads, over 80 accidents last night, snow on the ground and a high predicted of 23 today. A trip to the doctors office and then a run in to my office and then back to home and hunker down. Stay safe everyone.
