This is a blog for "people". You're not defined by your latest & greatest. You are you and that's great enough.

Oooops, you walked into my blog and it's a weather related blog. Please oh great and wonderful Yakuza, don't ban me.
I was planning on writing a blog to end the year, but had no idea it would be about weather until yesterday. Many of us that are here are fascinated by weather and wear our weather experiences as badges. I have mine, three hurricanes, driving through a blizzard, hail storms and watching a tornado form and now I have a new one, dust storm.
It has been a strange week here in El Paso. The weather has been 10 to 15 degrees above average due to La Nina. (Hurricane watchers should look and see how the season progressed last time El Paso was affected thusly by La Nina) The media had been touting this wind event all week and yesterday the town woke up to a breezy morning that intensified as time went by. The sky turned a pale yellow as the desert dust and sand kicked up. Shadows disappeared as the dust eclipsed the sun and the day had a feeling of continued dusk. Eyes burned and watered from the dust and lungs hurt. Truly another way nature shows us who is the boss and the answer is not us. To top it off the front passed through yesterday afternoon and we were treated with a few inches of snow. All this lead me to think about the weather and it leads to the QOD:
What was your favorite weather related event of 2010?
