First - last, as well?

Honestly, I'm not much for blogging and certainly not for blogging on someone else's site. We'll see if I blog much more. Kinda doubtful.

Just in case anyone ever reads this and needs something to get mad at me about, I have to ask: what the hell is the deal with the people commenting in Dr. Masters' blog comments section? There are some real jerks and some real idiots. Not all of them are the same people, either, it's clear that there are quite a few people who know weather but take many opportunities to be a jerk - apparently, just because they can. Ugly. This is what's not as nice about the internet. Oh, well.

The views of the author are his/her own and do not necessarily represent the position of The Weather Company or its parent, IBM.

Preaching to the choir! I agree 100%. Just because someone knows something doesn't mean that they can hold it above someone's head like many on this site do. I have seen, during a land-falling hurricane, someone ask for advice because they didn't evacuate and someone attacks them for staying behind! They were asking for help and more than one person ripped them for staying instead of giving them advice. There are fewer and fewer good posters on this site every day. Trolls have a negative rep on this site when many are just trying their best to understand. Why are we attacking "trolls" when they are the ones who actually are concerned with the weather??? It's all the people who don't care and are ignorant of the storms that are the idiots... Not those who take an important interest in what's going on in the weather world. It's a sad day when people are ridiculed for their curiosity and that day has come and gone for this site. Just saying...

I don't read Dr. Master's blog anymore for just that reason. I can get the same information elsewhere, without getting bogged down in all the garbage.

If you like Dr. Master's blog and notice that certain individuals are consistently rude, you can hit the 'ignore' button on their post and they will just go away. At first I hated the idea of 'ignoring' certain posters, but I found I enjoyed reading the blogs a lot more when I didn't have to wade through all the messages left by people trying to stir the pot and then I could just concentrate on the posts that had some kind of educational content. But, I must admit, I don't have the time or energy to do that with Dr. Master's blog, yet!

Why not just keep going with your own blog?
