Today will bring a mix of sun and cloud with a high 1.
Tonight will see a few clouds ad a low of -5C.

I'm officially old now. I received my first old age security pension check today :).
The MRI went good yesterday but I'll have to wait
until I see my doctor to get the results.

Good morning Alley.
With the extra check I'm making more than when I was working.
Enjoy the day.

So you finally got your old age pension, mine starts at the end of Nov. I will be getting my CPP disability, OAP and supplement. Will be nice to finally have it. There are a lot of benefits of becoming officially a senior. Discounts mainly on travel, restaurants and shopping. LOL

Anyway today we are having the "big rain" and the kids are not going to be able to do much outdoor trick or treating. not only is it wet but with winds running from 30 to 50 mph, the little muttons will blow away unless harnessed to mom or dad...LOL Thank goodness they have the arena here to go and enjoy Halloween.

Have a fun night and keep an eye out for those little ghosties and goblins looking for treats.

Good deal, Tony! Hopefully, the Dr. will bring good news!

Will the Queen be able to work less now that you're getting your pension?

Hi Tony!

Congrats on getting your first official social security check as a so-called senior! Hope the monthly amount doesn't differ greatly or is less from those received while on permanent disability. I only wish we all had your type of affordable single payer healthcare insurance offered in Canada and other European countries. Hopefully, the initial U.S.'s Obamacare website debacle is soon straightened out and further amendments are made to where all American citizens can easily find much needed affordable healthcare insurance protections and options. It's so long overdue!

Glad to learn you've safely completed your MRI test, the other day, and hope it renders better news than anticipated! It's been a rough road for you these past few months with a few steps forward and then back again. We all hope for the very best, especially, with the holidays and harsher winter months coming on!

I see from your webcam that it looks sunny but starkly cold your way. Unfortunately, that freezingly cold air has made it to Massachusetts as well. We're all bundled up inside and out while trying to keep up with the endless leaves that keep falling from our two mighty oaks. Yesterday, our town's tree disposal service picked up 30 full mulched bags of leaves from our driveway. Sadly, it's only a small dent in what remains to be done by the end of November! After that, it becomes fall's lingering ambiance over the winter into spring! LOL! Thankfully, hubby's physical stamina has greatly increased and overtaken mine from all the outdoor yardwork (aka "puttering") he's done since late spring. It's truly helped both our spirits. Glad he can still start, work or fix some of our seasonal outdoor machinery! I've never been at all handy with a pull chord starter. Not enough oomph in my thin weak arms! LOL!

Have a good day/week and hope you're enjoyably busying yourself with the grandfather clock project, etc. You're lucky to have retained so many skills as well as having such affordable and accessible outlets to turn to for needed parts!
