A Windy Day On The Prairie

By: plapman , 12:11 PM GMT on October 21, 2013

Today will be cloudy with a northwest wind at 30 km/h becoming light early this afternoon. The high will be 2C(36F).
Tonight will remain cloudy with a low of -3C(27F).
Yesterday I installed another 64 updates on the netbook and it's till working fine.
Yesterday on my walk with Abbey the wind was blowing so hard the gulls were having a hard time flying into it. It was funny to se them take off and then get blown sideways.

Good Morning, Tony!

Your still darkish webcam shows the roof of your car with what looks like frost or, heaven forbid, some snow covering the top and windows. Hope the latter isn't the case as yet! Starting tomorrow, we're in for quite the downturn in temps ourselves and could see frost appear on outside windows when waking up. For some reason, time and the seasons sure seem to be whisking on by this year. I'm still not ready for the lingering frigid cold and snow of winter just yet. I've become too fragile with age. LOL!

Hubby and I are still working on the mounds of fallen leaves on the ground. We figure we might be able to finish up before our town's leaf pick-up truck service ends in the next couple weeks. Our two huge old oak trees (one out front and back) always turn late and hold onto their leaves well into November. At a certain point, we just call those remaining on trees or ground 'ambiance' until spring arrives next year. LOL!

Glad you got your Netbook working again. Again, I wish I had your technological skills to handle broken computers and electronics. It costs an arm and a leg these days to hire an IT guy to repair them. I'm still saving to have this darn computer of mine fixed. It needs a new browser, clean out and other needed upgrades.

Started out windy and cool here this morning too but I managed to get to the store and back before the rains set in. Now its wet and cool but the winds died down some. Spent most of the afternoon in bed and going to make it an early night as well. Just not feeling very well with this darn arthritis. Hope your doing well. Keep warm. Tummy tickles for Abbey and chin rubs for Kramer.

MUSH has been keeping the ladies company on FB. I will let him know you were asking about him.

Good thing you weren't wearing a hat, (or were you?) it could've blown off, and went halfway to Winnepeg! :' )

Is there a lake near where you walk? Just wondering where the gulls came from!

I knew there'd be a lot of updates for the netbook! That propbably took a lot of time to download, and install! Glad it's still working good!

Anybody hear from Mush lately?
