By: plapman , 11:44 AM GMT on November 01, 2012

Today will be partly cloudy with a high of 3C(37F) with a windchill as low as -6C(21F) caused bu winds from the North at 10 to 20 km/h.
Tonight will start partly cloudy in the evening, then overcast with a low of -3C(27F) with a windchill as low as -7C(19F). The wind will be from the from the ENE at 10 to 15 km/h.

What a quiet Halloween last night. There were only 8 kids who came to the door. The cool windy night must have kept the goblins from being on the streets.
Yesterday I caused a major flood in the kitchen. I turned on the tap to clean a frying pan and not seeing that the faucet was over the counter on my left side I had water all over the floor. It took 2 large bath towels to soak up the water. having no peripheral vision on the left side sure is a pain.

Good Day Tony. Looks like MASS is trying to remind us to turn our clocks back...LOL Doesn't she know that retired folks don't give a darn one way or the other of a time change, it's all relevant for us...no need to rush to get up to go to work in the morning so we can sleep in as long as we want to, no clock to watch for when it's time to go home from work, we are already home...LOL Yup sure nice to be retired isn't it?

Still overcast here but the rain has finally stopped. Sunshine for tomorrow with temps relative to this time of the year. Nice to see Nov roll in but will be more happy to see April 2013 slide in with warm temps again...

Quiet Halloween here, had the lights out and only saw a few brave kids out going door to door. Most head over to the arena for the Halloween festivities there.

Floods happen all the time, was more upset when my washer overflowed due to a drainage problem last year. Only good thing is that the laundry room/furnace room is built over the ground crawlspace and it all drained into there with little mopping up to do. Still had some to do and stuff to move about to dry the floor or else we would have ended up with a rather moldy stink. Thank goodness it never made it to the furnace area.

Anyway, have a great day. Hope all goes well for you today.

Good Afternoon, Plap ~

Fortunately, for us, our town/community has post-poned Halloween night till this Saturday, due to people needing time to clean up and recover from the 9 - 24 hr power outages caused by Monday's hurricane, etc. Gratefully, my hubby, I, home and property all made it through intact. We've just got our work cut out for us in cleaning up a few inches thick of sticky wet carpeted oak leaves left behind in the yard. Such is life around here in the fall.

Sorry to hear of your kitchen flood the other day, but glad the cleanup was contained to needing only two large bath towels. I understand the resulting frustrations or annoyances caused to those who've been affected by a stroke. At least you, like my hubby, continue to soldier on as best you can by living up to your full potential and helping family and friends as best you can. No one could ask any more of you than that!

Looks like La Praire's already feeling some of winter's chill. Our forecast is looking chillier day by day as well. Time to hunker down, don the heavy flannels, sip hot beverages and walk briskly to keep warm and fit.

Hope this month of November provides you and yours with decent health and happy occasions!

I'm not sure if this applies to you are not, but daylight savings time ends around here on Sunday, Nov. 4th @ 2:00 am. We have to turn our clocks back 1 hr before retiring Saturday night. Extra sleep! YEAH!
