Another Week away from the Queen as I Enjoyed the Nurses at PDGH.

By: plapman , 1:13 AM GMT on September 16, 2012

What a place to spend your 64th birthday. The cook didn't even bake me a cake at the hospital. Just got out this morning after a weeks stay with a new illness to add to my list.
Pancreatitis. The pain has gone now but the voice has changed.
Thanks to all those who wished me a happy birthday.

Hi Tony!

So sorry that you've suffered yet another health setback in the past week or so! I used to work for a gastrointestinal specialist many years ago and remember full well how patients described their pancreatic or other gastro illnesses. OUCH! Hopefully, the right meds and proper diet will set you straight again real soon. Sorry you couldn't have celebrated your birthday under better circumstances, but hope that you'll be able to make up for that in the weeks to come! Thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery!

Good morning Tony. Sorry to hear you have been going through some of the worse crap as far as pain goes. I know been there and its not good. You will have to be very careful what and when you eat now not to aggravate it more. It sure knocks a lot out of you. Glad you were at least in the hospital where they could help you. My last bout was here at home. Just did not have the strength to go so I fought it out here. Not going to do that again...

Anyway on a happier note, you are now home and you can have that belated birthday with the family. Maybe one of the girls will bake you a cake...LOL

Have a good day dear one, take it easy and enjoy.

Oh, Tony. I'm so sorry - what a birthday bummer! But you're home, at least. Are you feeling ok? Is there anything else that needs to be done, or can you relax for a while? I don't know a thing about pancreatitis - I'll have to go take a peek in Dr. Google's book. ;)

I've got my blog temporarily closed to comments - I suddenly realized time is short, and I need to get a few things done so I can get up to my aunt's in Kansas City and back home before the weather changes. I've got until December down here in Texas, but by the end of October up there it can be iffy. So, I'm going to work as hard as I can for 2-3 weeks, make the trip and then get back home and reorganize. But I'll still be around to visit. ;)

Have a good night, and say hi to the The Queen for me!
