The 2 Faces of Abbey.

Today will see fog dissipating this morning then a mix of sun and cloud. There is the risk of a severe thunderstorm late this afternoon. The wind becoming southerly at 30 km/h (19 mph) late this afternoon as the high soars to 30C(86F). UV index 9 or very high.
------------------------------------------------- ---
We never got close to our fore casted high of 27c(80.6f) yesterday. It was cool and cloudy all day. The high for today will change that if it gets there. We sure are in a strange weather pattern. 30 today and 18 on Wednesday. I don't know what to wear shorts or long johns:).
Yesterday on my walk with Abbey we passed by the daycare close by. As usual the kids get all excited seeing Abbey. After asking the lady caregiver if the kids could pet Abbey through the fence I let the kids give Abbey a pet. The lady said remarked how happy Abbey always looked when we passed by. She even thanked me for stopping and let the kids enjoy Abbey. I think every kid should have a dog in their life.
When we approached home one of the G Granddaughters was going on a weekend visit with her father. He playfully gave her a light playful kick in the bum. I warned him that Abbey is very protective of her girls, she's even barked at me one time when I was chasing the girls. Abbey has claimed those girls as hers and no one had better hurt them.

I'd tell you to wear shorts over your longjohns, but I'm afraid that the daycare people would have you arrested if you got too close! ;-)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hi Tony.Abby is doing her job as she thinks is right.I wouldn't mess with anyone she has decided to protect! Puppies are nothing to mess with when they decide to take care of their pack.:)

Good morning, Tony ~

I guess, at long last, your warmer than usual weather finally made its way south to my neck of the woods. It's so nice to wake up to sunshine and warmer temps after such a miserably chilly, gloomy, rainy past week. Thankfully, the threat of potentially serious t'storms has also passed after we caught a brief glancing from one of them yesterday.

Hope you, too, are able to return to decent summer weather ahead so to enjoy those lingering therapeutic walks with Abbey. It's nice to read that she's such a very protective and nurturing dog with all types of children. Yes, indeedy, most dogs can be so therapeutic to children or the elderly (especially, in nursing homes) alike.
