I got the cinnamon roll to the mil yesterday. It's kind of funny that a man would walk to his MIL's bring her some of his baking. We had coffee and chatted while she had her cinnamon treat and saved the second one for later. I was rewarded for my walk with a slice of her delicious lemon pie. The mil has always liked Abbey and has a treat for her. While we ate our treats Abbey had a milk bone.I wish I was in as good a condition as the 86 year old mil. She still lives alone in her own home, clears her short sidewalk of snow and at times cuts her own grass. The ladies on the Queen's side of the family have a history of longevity, but sub come to strokes in their 90's. if the Queen has inherited those genes she has a long road ahead of her.:)
The silly little watch I fixed is still ticking away I guess it's time to tackle the cuckoo clock.
Abbey enjoyed her walk to the MIL's. We travelled along the railway tracks, What used to be just a service road has now been turned into walking path so is deemed safe for public access. I just have to stay on the path and not wander off on the service road on the other side of the tracks for the Queen's approval. Having a different route for our walk is nice.
Today's forecast isn't good for walking, it looks like Abbey and me will be house bound. CucKOo clock look out.
