Time to Move Snow Again and Back to Baking again

By: plapman , 12:20 PM GMT on March 03, 2012

Today will be mainly sunny but there will be fog patches at times this morning. The wind northwest at 20 km/h (12 mph) will become light this afternoon. The high will be -10C(14F). The wind will make it feel like -25C(-13F) this morning.
Tonight will bring increasing cloudiness early this evening and a low of -16C(3F).

It looks like I'll be moving snow again this morning. We didn't get much snow after I cleared the driveway but the wind blew a bit back in. The Queen didn't go into work yesterday but will today. She had call a cab to pick her up but it was stuck on the other side of town so she called in and said she'd work her shift today.
Although the snow storm was small compared to the 1966 storm but the trans-Canada highway was closed for a while due to poor visibility. I just checked and the highway has been reopened again but snow covered slippery section remain.
he highway between here and Winnipeg can be really bad between here and Winnipeg. the only trees to block the wind have been planted along the highway otherwise the only trees are miles from the highway giving the wind a good chance to carry snow and reduce visibility.
The grandson's car was a hit at the youth club he gos to. He now has other boys asking him to make cars for them. We should have patented the process and sold small wooden cars at the bakery. :)
The special at the bakery today will be cherry bit cupcakes with chocolate icing.

Cherry cupcakes with chocolate icing are one of my favorites, as is chocolate cupcakes with cherry icing!

The Queen's car just looks frigid, with that snow plastered on there!

Have a good day, and stay warm!

Good morning Tony, high winds here today. Was up at 2:30 AM when a loud crash woke me up. Here I was in my nightgown, slippers, and jacket of course, returning furniture upright on my porch. Even the heavy snowshovel was blown over and the kitty dishes were scattered. Good thing everyone was still sleeping or it would have been the talk of the town, a crazy lady in the wee hours of the morning, collecting her stuff from being wind blown....LOL No snow here but we did see more rain. Now its just a steady 28km wind blowing with gusts up to 90 kms. Good thing we don't have snow to blow around with that. I am sure a few shingles from older roofs will feel the brunt though. With my new 2 yr old roof, I should be ok, hopefully. Night sky is clearing and we may actually see a bit of sunshine throughout the day. Right now I am ready to go back to bed for a bit.

Have a great day dear one.
