Things Are Going Good on the Prairie.

By: plapman , 2:03 PM GMT on February 10, 2012

Today will be sunny with a northwest wind at 20 km/h (12 mph). The high will be -15C(5F) but the wind will cause wind chill of -39C(-38.3f) this morning and -28c(-18.4f) this afternoon.
Tonight will remain clear with the wind up to 15 km/h (9 mph). The overnight low will be -23C(-9F) with a wind chill of -32c(-25.6f).

A good day yesterday. The keyboard is back together but doesnt work. The light for the wireless connection comes on but none of the keys work. I'll have to check the connections today. While reassembling it I could see a factory in China, where it was made, assembling all the tiny parts all day. It doesn't sound like a fun job.
The clock is ticking again but still running fast. I may have to cheat and lengthen the pendulum rod a bit. I used to take the works apart clean and re-oil them but I don't want it to quit permanently.
The Winchester is shaped as good as I can get it and a small shim under the front of the barrel will get it pointing horizontally. I may even bend some paperclips to make a lever and trigger guard. I think I'm going overboard for a rifle that will never be aimed at a bunny or deer.
I'll have all afternoon to play with the tiny parts as the Queen is on evening shift and the granddaughter and her 2 little ones won't be home until 3.
The youngest daughter sent me a recipe for brownies. I'll have to get the Queen to take me shopping to pick up some ingredients I don't have and add brownies to the bakery menu.
I hear the Queen stirring just about time to go for the morning coffee and chat.

Hi, Tony! maybe you can train Abbey to go to the store and fetch your suppies! Just call the store and tell them what you want, then put a small carrier on Abbey and put some money in it and send her on her way! Then they'll send her on her way back with the supplies and change!

Well, at least it was a thought, lol!
Stay warm!

Morning, Tony,

Oh, those paperclips. I can't remember where it was - maybe here in Houston? - but there was a dentist who used paperclips for dental implant posts. They got him when people started showing up with infections. I guess it probably increased his profit margin, until he had to start paying all those lawyers to keep him out of the slammer. I really don't know what happened with the case - but just be warned and don't be trying really creative things with those paperclips!

Good morning Tony. Sounds like all went well for you yesterday. A nasty cold wind blowing today but no snow yet....there is a heavy cloud cover so I guess its a good possibility we will see some.

Not much happening here otherwise today. Going to make it a quiet day for me, perhaps read a few more chapters of the new book I started last night. TV has been so bad lately with only a few movies worth watching and as far as regular programming, with all the reality crap, there sure is nothing on there to watch. Saves on hydro...LOL

Anyway have a great day, stay warm and stay well.
