On this first day of the new year, it's the time of year that many of us decide to make changes to our lives:
Gain weight (Yes, there are people out there that want to!)
GET a job
Learn something new
Clear out clutter
Take up a hobby
Visit family more
Eat more vegetables
Eat less junk
Adopt a pet
The list goes on and on and is as varied as each person reading this. Each one of us has at least one thing they want to change about themselves or their surroundings.
This year is the year that I WILL listen to Thoreau and simplify, simplify. I will clean out my closets, my attic, my kitchen cabinets, buffet, china cabinet, drawers and get rid of all the excess stuff that I've accumulated over the years. In doing so, I will de-stress my life. And be able to find things when I want to put my hands on them.
I will try to eat better and exercise more. I have gotten very slack over the last 8 or 9 months. I'm not going to try to "diet". I need to eat less meat and processed foods and work more fresh foods into my diet. I've never been able to get into a routine of daily "exercises" but there's no reason why I can't get my walking back on track.
I promise to try to do better!
