Floral Explosion (novembergale)
A little warm weather mixed with sun and rain gave us an explosion in buds this week!

Bobolink (novembergale)
This amazing songbird spends its winters in South America, well south of the equator, which is over 6,000 miles away. This guy may have come from as far away as Argentina!
Sunset Surprise (novembergale)
It was cloudy and overcast all day long up until the last few minutes at sunset.

Chilled Hummer (novembergale)
This poor girl doesn't look like she's enjoying the cold snap we're having. With temps in the 30's and a freeze warning, she may have to resort to torpor tonight. It seems to happen every year after they get here, but Mother Nature gave her the mechanisms to cope and survive.

As always, I thoroughly enjoy your beautiful photos, and I appreciate the bits of info along with them.

A male Ruby throated hummingbird came to my feeder about two weeks ago, but I've seen only one male about once a day for those two weeks. Today there were three females (or juveniles), so I guess the season has begun!
