02-12-14 Snow Dangerous

Local VDOT has a thick coating of salt brine on the roads and I saw at least 6 salt plow trucks waiting for this to start. I wonder what people are thinking when they say they didn't know it would get this bad. They were warned... This will get dangerous to all that don't heed the warning! I think we'll get snowed-in.

Day before last, we had 80 degrees, yesterday I saw daffodils blooming, today it is barely above freezing, and Sunday/Monday we may have snow. Who says this weather isn't crazy. I'm noticing the daffodils bloom a week early each year over the last 5 years. At one time, they bloomed in the middle of April...

After 24 hours of snow, we have at least 16 inches of snow. Hard to tell with drifts and the slight sleet that fell in the middle. We still have power, but I had to go out and sweep the snow off the dish for Internet... I haven't even thought about driving anywhere (with the car or truck, anyway). Might go tractor cruising though...
