07:20, 50f, clear. bright orange sun cresting the eastern horizon. roosters hollaring. guardian all dirty from sleeping in a huge hole she dug last night. pup takes a walk..
10:00, 61f, sunny. did chores. sheep go out into pasture. pup digs a big hole. cleaned out dog pen. hung out a wash. gathered all recyclables. have to go to cow town to renew my license tag.
13:30, 76f, sunny. stopped at hay guy's on the way back to farm. he has corn and peas sprouting. says he will dolomite his hayfield next week. walked pup, unloaded hay and supplies, left for meeting in CK.
14:00, mid tide at CK. south wind, 6 knts., 70f. sunny. cormorants at oyster bar. attended weekly poetry group.
16:00, mid tide at #4 bridge. west wind, 5 knts. 72f. more cormorants at oyster bar. great egrets in marsh. great blue herons fishing off spartina banks.
found sheep in yard when I arrived back at farm. sheep had pushed through yard gate. guardian was watching them. sheep stripped confederate jasmine and several small citrus trees.. bad sheep. guardian and I put them back in fold.
18:50, 65f, sun sinking through donkey woodlot. hay to all. got 3 eggs. took dry clothes off line.
21:10, 60f, stars out. waxing gibbous moon high in the sky. guardian down by boundary gate exchanging insults with dog down the road. pup wants to join in. good night, moon..
