05:50, 53f, light fog. very bright planet shining in SE. roosters crowing. guardian sleeping by food bowl. pup wants to play. sheep in woodlot. donkeys snuffling. oatmeal for breakfast.
08;30, low tide at CK. south wind, 10-12 knts. 65f. a light chop. had to wait for some water to come in. tide turned at 09:00.
sampling fishes between seahorse and north keys and the cedar keys. catches are improving in both the bait and the 600 ft. seine. stingrays coming into back creeks to mate. caught about 60 in 4 sets with the big seine. also caught some trout, pinfish, hard-head catfish, YOY (young-of-the-year) flounder, and half dozen mackerel . bait seine netted silversides, YOY pinfish, redfish, and spot with comb jellies as by-catch
birds all over - white pelicans out on shell bars to west, oysterctchers at gomez, lots of ducks flying off in front of boat. a little blue with a breeding plime fishing on the mud flat in the marina. godwits and willets on sandbar by piney point.
wind slowly picked up to 12-15 with 18 knt gusts. and whitecaps. water visibility less than 0.5 meters. water temps, 18-19C, 63-67f. sunny. a gorgeous but tiring day! SW wind. clouds.
16:30, high tide at #4 bridge. 66f. oyster bar submerged. cormorants this morning when it was open.. great egrets in marsh.
17::10, 70f. clouding up.
18:50, 67f. mostly cloudy. no moon showing. saw a star. hay to all. 2 deer in donkey lane.
