06:50, 39f, partly cloudy. waning crescent moon in the pecan trees. roosters crowing. crows cawing. sheep going out to pasture. guardian sleeping by truck. pup going back to bed..
14:20, 60f at back door. sheep in yard. retrieved pick-up load of firewood from donkey woodlot. wood was cut day before big freeze when we also stripped the citrus. half load in hay barn, half under front porch roof. cloudng up..
17:40,54f, mostly cloudy. sheep back in fold. bottle to lamb. hay to all herbivores. fire going in fireplace to take the damp off. pleasant smell of woodsmoke outside. pallid sunset.
21:30, 54f, cloudy. no stars. guardian patrolling farm. bottle to waiting lamb. fireplace fire faltering due to damp wood. need to go pick up the remainder and store it in barn. lucky tonight is not cold!
