07:05, 73F, neon orange sunrise. a faint mist. dueling roosters crowing. pleasant walk down lane with pup. guardian in sheep barn. sheep not happy. guardian rolls in sheep manure before entering farm yard. pup ecstatic. dogs ... bacon for breakfast. hung out a wash.
10:30, medium tide rising at CK. small flock of roseate spoonbills and egrets on flooding oyster bar. east wind, 13 knts., 80F. sunny, partly cloudy.
fed cat. wet lab work most of my day. big redfish from yesterday was a female.
14:10, high moon tide at #4 bridge. herons in the marsh. east wind, 15 knts. 82F. crew finishing up sampling for this month worked in heavy chop and breakers out by corrigan's reef.
17:20, 85F, sunny. wash dry. took it in. breeze from NE during pup walk on shady side of cactus field under the pines. a lot of youn pines growing at various heights but most crowd the tree line that borders the lane. heavy green odor of dog fennel.
19:00, 81F, peach sunset. got 2 eggs. need another run to get hay. have hay but need to squirrel away more since donkeys and sheep eat a half bale a day now when grass is still green. cold use a good rain, too. dusty on the grade road now. grass getting short.
20:20, 78F, mostly clear. waxing full moon in east. moonlight walk with pup down lane. NE breeze. pup stretches out in the grass not anxious to go back in the house. guardian in fold. dixie eating her supper.
