07:30, 72F, light fog. waning horned moon right over the farm house. silver sunrise. roosters crowing. guardian checking out sheep woodlot. short walk for pup. creaky back leaves me short-tempered for her antics. long walk after breakfast. wash on the line. hoping today will mirror yesterday. donkeys agitating for hay. sheep checking out grape-fall under the vines.
10:50, high tide falling on #4 bridge. 81F, south wind, 6 knts. white pelicans resting on emerging sand bar. sunny.
fed cat. almost finished with last trawl. had to re-attach most of the chain that weighs down the mouth of the trawl.
16:00, low tide with patches of spoonbills and snowy egrets working the tide pools on the mud flats. west wind, 8 knts. 83F. 3 turkeys in a pasture on the ride home.
17:30, 85F at back door. bunch of deer in front yard scatter when I drive up. woke up guardian. clothes dry.
19:40, 80F. got 5 eggs. donkeys leaning on fence by hay barn.
21:15, 78F, a mist. a few stars showing. guardian barking in fold. dixie barking at back door. must be hearing something that's eluding me. keep an eye on things, you dogs, you..
