north florida - wild florida

06:30, 74F, mostly cloudy. salmon and purple skies to the east. foggy. roosters crowing. got a little more rain last night. all vegetation dripping. guardian checking out farm yard. dixie barking from under the house. walked pup down the lane. sheep venturing out to pasture.
09:00, 78F. 2 deer and 3 wild turkeys on the shoulders on the way into CK. high tide rising in CK. east wind, 8 knts. 79F. a light chop. church was good. sermon on anger.
brunch at the island room. very high tide with moderate chop that seemed to roll right up to the windows. sunny and beautiful.
13:00, fed cat. very high tide at #4 bridge. east wind, 8 knts. 84F. no wildlife on way home.
18:50, 80F, overcast and sprinkling. did chores early. no eggs. found 6 ft. gray rat snake up in chicken coop rafters. snagged it and dropped it into cat carrier. snake and carrier in back of truck for transport down the road tomorrow. if I leave it on the farm it will just return and eat more eggs.
21:00, 76F, mostly cloudy. no stars but waxing gibbous moon appears on and off in the ESE. fog forming. good night, moon.
