06:10, 63F, wolf light. misty. waning gibbous moon over the sheep barn. lone cardinal singing. roosters lusty. no dogs at back door. pup snoozing. lamb bottles heating up.
07:10, 65F, sun's up. old brownie on her side in sheep barn. hurt bum leg getting her up. crows carrying on in donkey woodlot.
08:50, high tide ebbing at CK. mostly sunny, 71F, south wind, 10 knts. herons in spartina. church was good. read the lessons - acts, revelations - not fond of revelations.
10:50, light chop at sandpit. 72F, SE wind, 8 knts. dolphins in channel. tide falling at #4 bridge. oyster bars showing. no ducks. willets on emerging mud bank.
missippi kites high above CK scrub.
14:30, 88F, partly cloudy, partly sunny. ceiling fans on. nap time.
18:40, 78F, mostly cloudy. guardian carrying on in back yard. got no eggs but killed a 4.5 foot diamondback by the back chicken coop. 8 rattles. it was in the virginia creeper that hasn't been mowed due to the bum leg. good cover.
20:30, 73F, misty. stars out. watching where we walk..
