07:05. 69F, clear. sun's on its way up. no one at back door. pup out, guardian comes to visit. caught 2 mice! down to the hay barn with them. (the son says they follow me back, but the hay barn is at least 100 meters away from house with corn crib and horse barn along the way so thinking - not..) doing a wash, hoping for the best. weather man said it would be dry today with showers this evening. roosters crowing back and forth.
11:10, 78F, sunny, SW breeze. clothes on line drying. got 2 eggs. big gray rat snake in back chicken coop. at least 6 feet long and hefty. chased it out of coop. pup ignored it.
15:40, 93F, sunny. house warm, 79F. ceiling fans on. I hate vacuuming. clothes dry.
19:50, 78F, mostly cloudy. stiff SW breeze. got 3 more eggs.
21:00, 77F, south wind feels wonderful! waxing 0.55 moon at zenith. mostly cloudy. no stars. guardian back from donkey woodlot and barking down by sheep barn. good night moon.
