north florida - wild florida

07:30, 66F. mostly overcast. got some rain! about 0.6"! need that and more. hoping this afternoon will bring the rain in from the gulf and it won't all go south. dixie at back door. guardian in front guarding her leftovers from last night.. pup out on tether. roosters carrying on. fried rice and left-over steak for breakfast.
10:50. 2 wild turkeys in pasture on 345. high tide at CK. ducks out on the flats. a big flock. white pelicans on sandbar to east. overcast, 68F. south wind, 12 knts. a light chop.
fed cat. 100 ft. more to mend on 600 ft. seine.
16:00, high tide at #4 bridge. more ducks. egrets in spartina. 67F, SW wind, 15 knts.
visit friends in the scrub. low 70's, breeze from SW. flock of ibis flying over sandpines.
17:20, 73F, overcast. got 2 eggs. slight breeze.
20:10, 67F, overcast. an occasional faint star. still. muted thunder..

hah.
left-overs from birthday dinner..
hay situation just gets worse. hoping for abit more rain so pasture will grow some.
nothing today. it all went south.
that's what's been happening lately - rain comes in from the gulf and either goes up the suwannee and stays north, or comes in down south in citrus county. aggravating.

Got a little hay yesterday 1 in 5 look too moldy for my ponies.
