07:00, 70F, raining. roosters up. yellow dogs in falling down horse barn. guardian appears. quick walk for pup. rain coming down hard. sheeting across pasture.
09:00, 63F, drizzling and overcast after the storm. electric went out. no water. pancakes on gas stove. ate in the dark. electric back on. chores waiting. lamb bottles heating up. got 1.5" rain.
11:00, high tide at CK. 63F, SW wind, 7 knts. several flocks of ducks. ibis in the spartina. clearing but still gray to east..
(earlier, 07:30, 70F. CK reported 20-25 knt. winds. a small twister ran up the islands smashing cedars, twisting up tin on old buildings, crunching oaks, took out a dock. no injuries. )
mostly worked on nets. washed trawl. clam chowder at eat at pat's. very good.
16:15, high tide at #4 bridge. 67F, SW winds, 9 knts. rafts of ducks. egrets in marsh.
17:30, 70F, clearing at the farm. breezy. got 2 eggs. 4 deer in donkey woodlot.
19:00, 63F, a mist. full moon rising in the east. beautiful! stars out. jupiter up there.
