north florida - wild florida

06:30, 55F with a chill north breeze. partly cloudy. yellow dogs nowhere to be found. young dogs out playing. roosters were up at 4:30. subdued now. cardinal singing.
08:50, 58F, overcast. passed under several huge flocks of buzzards spiraling around the road. might be migrating. buzzards congregate around the suwannee in the winter.
09:00, blow-out tide at CK. 54F, NE wind, 10 knts. herons, cormorants, and pelicans congregating by tidal pools. church was good. clearing and sunny. boatyard cat was waiting for the catfood. he raced me to his dish.
11:00, low tide rising at #4 bridge. the usual birds. no ducks in the tide but several wood ducks at a pond in the scrub. when they took off they circled and circled.
13:50, 60's and sunny at the farm. funnies were funny. did a wash. planted the onion sets. walked the dogs. cardinals, chickadees, wrens at the birdfeeder.
18:50, 61F, a mist. waxing crescent moon high in the sky. stars dimmed. guard dog with sheep. yellow dogs under front porch. good night world..
