New weather station

By: jorpet, 1:43 AM GMT on March 15, 2014

Finally! After two years of "planning" the new weather station is finally here and installed. Unfortunately the old one died just before this one arrived, so there is a couple of weeks of no data, but at least it is back online.

Do Weather Stations Dream of Electric Raindrops?

By: jorpet, 5:36 PM GMT on February 13, 2012

My old weather station has been pretty dependable over the last four years. Only the occasional hiccup when batteries in the sending unit get low. Now, in the last two weeks it is having issues almost every other day. New weather station equipment soon

By: jorpet, 11:29 PM GMT on February 02, 2012

Amazing weather for Seattle

By: jorpet, 3:45 AM GMT on December 22, 2008

The last week has been pretty amazing for our area. Nearly 10 inches of snow in the last three days with another 6-8 expected overnight. Hasn't been above freezing here for over a week. The wind speed indicator froze up this morning with the freezing rain. Probably won't be working again until next weekend when temps are expected to be back above freezing for an extended time.
