Today colder weather dominates the Tallahassee area after the passing of the cold front. Currently a surface ridge is in place over the local area and will bring sunny and mostly clear skies for today. The high will be around 63F. Tonight expect a low around 40F. Sunday will be slightly warmer than today with a high around 65F. The low for Sunday night will be around 38F. The high for Monday will be slightly cooler with a high around 63F.
For the extended period current NAM and GFS models are in slight agreement. There will be a disturbance coming to the area around Tuesday afternoon for the GFS and early Wednesday morning for the NAM. This is something to keep a close watch on in the coming days. Temperatures for these days in the extended period are in good agreement. They average around the mid to upper 60s for the high and the low temperatures average around mid to upper 50s. As we progress through next week we will have a clearer picture of the high and low temperatures along with the coming precipitation.
