New Hardware

By: janslow, 8:18 PM GMT on July 02, 2016

Parker Bayfront will be offline for approximately 2 hours between 2030-2230Z on 2 Jul 2016 for the installation of a new Davis Vue Integrated Sensor Suite (ISS). While I have been satisfied with the performance of my previous AcuRite weather station, I hope that this new hardware will improve the accuracy of the information being provided.

I appreciate everyone's patience during this transition.

Happy New Year

System Failure

By: janslow, 1:56 PM GMT on August 11, 2014

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but Parker Bayfront PWS (KFLPANAM43) will be offline for an undetermined period of time as we try to resolve issues with both inaccurate temperature and rainfall indications. We hope to have the system back online very shortly, but at this time, we don't know what the cause of our problems is.

We will keep our users up-to-date on our progress, and we hope to return to service very soon.

System Adjustment

By: janslow, 5:10 PM GMT on July 23, 2014

Had to adjust the positioning of the PWS in order to realign with true south. Not sure how it had turned, but was nearly 10 degrees off. Not only would this have effected the wind measurements, but it also reduced the efficiency of the internal fan, impacting temperature readings. Hopefully, this will take care of any problems.
