A cold front will shift over western Europe on Sunday, while wet weather winds down across southeast Europe.
A low pressure system will move northward across the Norwegian Sea. A cold frontal boundary associated with this system will stretch southward from the southern Norwegian Sea to Portugal. As this frontal boundary transitions eastward, it will generate light to moderate rain across Ireland, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, western Germany, Denmark, southwest Sweden and southern Norway. London, United Kingdom, can expect light, intermittent showers with a high of 65(F)/ 18(C). Brussels, Belgium, is forecast to receive between 5 to 15 millimeters of rain with a high of 64(F)/ 17(C). The same frontal boundary will generate moderate to heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms across France, Switzerland, northwest Italy, northern Spain and northern Portugal. Montpellier, France, will experience late afternoon and evening rain with a high of 67(F)/ 19(C). Geneva, Switzerland, is forecast to receive between 10 to 20 millimeters of rain with a high of 71(F)/ 21(C).
Meanwhile, a wave of low pressure will keep showers and stray thunderstorms in the forecast for parts of Greece, Bulgaria and Turkey. Athens, Greece, can expect showers throughout the morning and the early afternoon with a high of 73(F)/ 22(C). To the north, a cold front will initiate scattered showers across eastern Poland, Ukraine and northern Romania.
