An Atlantic system will affect a large portion of western Europe on Saturday, while a separate system shifts across southeast Europe.
A low pressure system will trek northward from the west coast of Scotland to the Faroe Islands. This system will usher light to moderate precipitation across Scotland, southern Norway and parts of Denmark. Bergen, Norway, is forecast to receive between 5 to 15 millimeters of rain with a high of 62(F)/ 16(C). A cold frontal boundary associated with this system will extend south southwestward. This frontal boundary will generate moderate rain and isolated thunderstorms across northern Portugal, northern Spain, western France, Ireland, Wales, England and western Belgium. London, United Kingdom, can expect afternoon and evening rain with a high of 63(F)/ 17(C). A Coruna, Spain, will also experience afternoon and evening rain with a high of 65(F)/ 18(C).
Meanwhile, a low pressure system will shift slowly eastward over the Balkan Peninsula. This system will continue to produce showers and thunderstorms across the southeastern corner of Europe. Plovdiv, Bulgaria, is forecast to receive between 15 to 25 millimeters of rain with a high of 61(F)/ 16(C). Istanbul, Turkey, will experience afternoon and evening showers with a high of 66(F)/ 18(C).
A low pressure system will retrograde over western Russia and will bring moderate rain to southeast Finland. In addition, showers will develop across southwest Finland, northern Sweden and northern Norway as a frontal system transitions over Scandinavia.
