An area of low pressure will move across western Europe on Wednesday, while a separate system pushes over extreme eastern Europe.
A low pressure system will split into two separate systems as it drifts across western Europe. The first system will move east southeastward from western Ireland to northern France. This system will usher light to moderate showers over Ireland, Wales, England, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, southwest Germany, France, Switzerland, northeast Spain and northwest Italy. London, United Kingdom, will experience intermittent showers on Wednesday with a high of 58(F)/ 14(C). Paris, France, can expect late afternoon and evening rain with a high of 65(F)/ 18(C). Locally heavy rain will be possible along the northeastern corner of Spain, eastern France and Switzerland. High elevation snow will also be possible across the Western Alps. Geneva, Switzerland, is forecast to receive between 15 to 25 millimeters of rain with a high of 69(F)/ 20(C). The other area of low pressure will push northeastward across Norway and Sweden. Moderate rain and high elevation snow will affect southern Norway and central Sweden. Scattered showers will trail this system over Scotland.
Meanwhile, a low pressure system will shift eastward over Belarus, Ukraine and western Russia. This system will bring scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms to parts of the Balkan Peninsula, Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus, eastern Poland, eastern Lithuania, eastern Latvia and eastern Estonia. Minsk, Belarus, will have a slight chance of afternoon showers with a high of 60(F)/ 16(C).
