An area of low pressure will inch across Scandinavia on Monday, while high pressure builds over southeast Europe.
A low pressure system will shift slowly eastward across Norway, Sweden, the Baltic Sea and southern Finland. This system will influence an onshore flow from the Atlantic, which will fuel light to moderate precipitation across southwest Norway. Bergen, Norway, is forecast to receive between 25 to 75 millimeters of snow with a high of 41(F)/ 5(C). Light and scattered precipitation will also be possible over parts of Finland. A cold frontal boundary associated with this system will extend west southwestward from the Baltic Sea to southern Ireland. Moderate precipitation and strong winds will develop across a handful of countries over the northern half of Europe. Brussels, Belgium, will experience afternoon and evening rain with a high of 50(F)/ 10(C). Warsaw, Poland, is forecast to receive between 5 to 10 millimeters of rain with a high of 45(F)/ 7(C).
Meanwhile, a disturbance will inch east northeastward over the southwestern corner of Europe. Light showers will spread across eastern Spain, southeast France, northwest Italy and southern Switzerland. A ridge of high pressure will influence a dry weather pattern across the Balkan Peninsula. Zagreb, Croatia, will be partly cloudy with a high of 61(F)/ 16(C). Athens, Greece, will be sunny with a high of 70(F)/ 21(C).
