A low pressure system will continue to bring impacts to southern Europe on Tuesday, while a cold frontal boundary shifts over the European Mainland.
An area of low pressure will push eastward over the Balkan Peninsula. This system will usher widespread rain and high elevation snow across Italy, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia and the Balkan Peninsula. Gusty winds will also affect western Turkey, eastern Bulgaria, eastern Romania and Moldova. Sofia, Bulgaria, is forecast to receive between 10 to 20 millimeters of rain with a high of 55(F)/ 12(C). Budapest, Hungary, will experience afternoon and evening showers with a high of 69(F)/ 20(C). Scattered showers will persist in parts of Poland, Belarus, Lithuania and Latvia due to a warm frontal boundary over eastern Europe.
Meanwhile, a cold front will shift eastward over northwest and central Europe. Light to moderate precipitation will develop along and near this system over Norway, western Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, northern France, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Germany and the Czech Republic. Amsterdam, Netherlands, can expect early morning rain with a high of 53(F)/ 11(C). Berlin, Germany, will have a chance of late afternoon and evening showers with a high of 64(F)/ 17(C).
A ridge of high pressure will bring warmer conditions to the Iberian Peninsula on Tuesday. Madrid, Spain, will be sunny with a high of 80(F)/ 26(C).
