A pair of Atlantic systems will affect western Europe on Saturday, while a warm frontal boundary lingers over eastern Europe.
A low pressure system will drift east northeast over the North Sea and southern Norway. This system will usher moderate to heavy precipitation across southern Norway and southwest Sweden. Oslo, Norway, is forecast to receive between 10 to 15 millimeters of rain with a high of 44(F)/ 6(C). A cold frontal boundary associated with this system will stretch southward. As this frontal boundary transitions eastward, it will generate light to moderate rain in Denmark, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain and northwest Italy. Isolated thunderstorms will be possible in Spain. In addition, heavier rain and high elevation snow will impact eastern France and the Swiss Alps. Zurich, Switzerland, is forecast to receive between 15 to 25 millimeters of rain with a high of 63(F)/ 17(C). Munich, Germany, can expect evening rain with a high of 66(F)/ 18(C).
A separate frontal system will bring moderate rain and strong winds to Ireland and Scotland. Dublin, Ireland, will experience afternoon and evening showers with a high of 53(F)/ 11(C).
A warm frontal boundary will be the focal point for showers and thunderstorms across eastern Europe. These storms will develop in Serbia, western Bulgaria, western Romania, eastern Hungary, western Ukraine, eastern Poland and western Belarus. Cluj-Napoca, Romania, will experience morning showers, as well as afternoon and evening thunderstorms with a high of 64(F)/ 17(C).
