A pair of low pressure systems will develop over eastern Europe on Friday, while an Atlantic cold front swings across western Europe.
An area of low pressure will split into two separate systems. The first area of low pressure will shift eastward across the southern tier of the Balkan Peninsula. Athens, Greece, will have a chance of early morning showers with a high of 71(F)/ 21(C). Istanbul, Turkey, will experience late morning and early afternoon showers with a high of 51(F)/ 10(C). The other area of low pressure will move from the northwestern corner of the Balkan Peninsula to eastern Poland. This system will bring widespread moderate precipitation to most of eastern Europe. The exception to the wet weather will be over eastern Ukraine and eastern Belarus. Warsaw, Poland, is forecast to receive between 10 to 15 millimeters of rain with a high of 44(F)/ 6(C).
Meanwhile, an Atlantic low pressure system will push eastward between southeast Greenland and Iceland. An extensive cold front associated with this system will swing across western Europe.
