Stormy conditions will persist across southwest Europe on Monday, while a warm front forms over the Balkan Peninsula.
An area of low pressure will shift eastward across the western tier of the Mediterranean Sea. This system will usher light to moderate showers and embedded thunderstorms over parts of Portugal and Spain. Lisbon, Portugal, will experience afternoon and evening storms with a high of 59(F)/ 15(C). A warm frontal boundary will lift north northeastward over south central Europe. This frontal system will initiate rain and isolated thunderstorms over northern Italy, southern Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, Serbia and western Bulgaria. High elevation snow showers will also be possible across the region. Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is forecast to receive between 10 to 15 millimeters of rain with a high of 54(F)/ 12(C). Sofia, Bulgaria, can expect late evening showers with a high of 60(F)/ 15(C).
Meanwhile, a low pressure system will slide south southeastward over southern Sweden and the Baltic Sea. Light precipitation will be possible in southern Norway, southern Sweden, Denmark, northern Germany, northeast Poland, western Lithuania, western Latvia and southern Finland. Helsinki, Finland, is forecast to receive about 25 millimeters of snow with a high of 32(F)/ 0(C).
A ridge of high pressure over the eastern Atlantic will influence dry weather across Ireland, the United Kingdom and most of France. London, United Kingdom, will be mostly cloudy with a high of 53(F)/ 11(C). Paris, France, will also be cloudy on Monday with a high of 52(F)/ 11(C).
