A low pressure system will transition eastward over southern Europe, while a separate system forms over western Europe.
An area of low pressure will shift east southeastward from northern Italy to the Aegean Sea. Meanwhile, a broad area of low pressure will retrograde over the North Sea. Light to moderate precipitation will accompany this system, affecting southern Norway and southern Sweden. Periods of heavy rain will impact eastern facing mountain slopes across southeast Norway. Oslo, Norway, is forecast to receive between 75 to 125 millimeters of snow with a high of 35(F)/ 1(C).
The same system will help accelerate a low pressure system developing over the eastern Atlantic. This system will move quickly east southeastward over Ireland and the United Kingdom. Light to moderate precipitation will spread across Ireland, southern Scotland, Wales, England and France. Strong winds are also expected in Ireland, western England and parts of France.
