An area of low pressure will move slowly across southwest Europe on Saturday, while a ridge of high pressure builds over eastern Europe.
A low pressure system will deepen as it moves south southeastward over southern France and the western tier of the Mediterranean Sea. This system will produce moderate to heavy rain and high elevation snow across Portugal, Spain, southern France, southern Switzerland and northwest Italy. Milan, Italy, is forecast to receive between 30 to 35 millimeters of rain with a high of 46(F)/ 7(C). Montpellier, France, is expected to receive between 45 to 50 millimeters of rain with a high of 52(F)/ 11(C). Northwest Europe will stay mostly clear of precipitation on Saturday. London, United Kingdom, will be overcast with a high of 43(F)/ 6(C).
Meanwhile, a weak frontal system will produce light precipitation over parts of eastern Ukraine and Turkey. Istanbul, Turkey, will have a chance of early morning showers with a high of 56(F)/ 13(C).
A ridge of high pressure centered over Poland and western Belarus will keep the remainder of eastern Europe clear of rain and snow. Berlin, Germany, will be partly cloudy with a high of 44(F)/ 6(C). Warsaw, Poland, will also be partly cloudy with a high of 41(F)/ 5(C).
