Yes, folks, I'm still here...
I have been roused from my weather sleep by the onset of the first significant rain event of the season. The rain will be absorbed nicely by the parched land...
The first major episode will arrive with a cold front from the northwest tonight into early morning. This will affect mainly western Andalucía. Then, a wave will develop on this front in association with a weak upper-level low, about midday tomorrow. This will affect mainly the Costa del Sol and eventually eastern Andalucía. Although rain rates do not look to be high, this latter feature could persist through Thursday, so we should be on the lookout for high accumulations in the central and eastern regions by the end of Thursday.
It's good to be back!
