Parts of the region will break the summer-long drought today, as a weak, compact low off the Portuguese coast continues to spin rain bands into western Iberia. Most of the rain has been in Extremadura, but there have also been lines of showers and thunderstorms in Huelva province. As the weak low moves northeast, these areas will continue to have the greatest chance of precipitation. A few rainbands should persist long enough to reach central Andalucía, however. If you've been looking for relief from the heat, perhaps you'll be one of the lucky ones today!
