Wednesday Weenie

Well yesterday I got a call from my knee surgeon asking if they could bump my surgery up 10 days. On one hand it was great because that's 10 more days of cushion time for healing before the heavy part of the season starts. On the other hand, I have another surgery next week and it should be interesting to work with the knee. Also I had to cram 10 days worth of stuff to get in order in 24 hours. I'll be in complete bed rest for 2 days, limited for the following 3 and won't be able to drive for a week. But I've moved my laptop and stuff I can't live without down to the ground floor, as well as stocked up on garden catalogs, dvd's, and of course, vino! I'm going to miss my bed (upstairs), but mainly, I'm going to miss my walks.

Anyways, I'll try to catch up on emails later with ya'll and next time I write, I'll probably be medicated, so I will take the time now to apologize for any postings in the next 24-48 hours >chuckle<

OGal-I had a knee arthoscopy-minisectomy (torn medial meniscus) which fortunately I caught early, so down town should be minimal. There is an option to do a medial repair, but it sounds like it's more successful on younger patients under 25 since the older we get, the slower we heal, not to mention the area doesn't get much O2 and blood for healing. I have had surgery on my other knee about 6 years ago as well.

It sounds since an amount of time has passed since your husband's surgery he had more extensive surgery of the knees?

Also I've been keeping up on your blog of Lifestyle change. Kudos!

GGrrl-I can't wait! Although right now, I'd be turning over mud...clay mud with big rocks that is. I have my "flower-porn" catalogs to look through today and credit card handy!

Tonight's been a fuzzy night...gotta love modern day painkillers!

At least I got to see the moon on the way home. Yay! The rain has finally stopped and the sky is clearing up. I'll be looking for Miss Robin poking around tomorrow for worms~
