I live right in the middle of the lower peninsula of Michigan. Our Great Lakes protect us from much of the extreme weather in other states.

We haven't seen many days this summer where it actually felt like summer. But today is one that does. Not only are there warm temps but it is quite humid and muggy feeling. Any one who loves summer weather will certainly be happy today. More heat is in our forecast for early next week, and we could see the 90s for the first time this season. It would certainly be nice if this weather carried over into September. We have had clouds most of the morning and it even looked like ran, but we have received no precip today. We had a few sprinkles yesterday afternoon but the Detroit area received more heavy rain. It didn't last as long as last week's storm that caused massive flooding. Now the sun is out although the sky is mostly cloudy.
Right now (3 PM EDT), the temp is 81F, the humidity is 40% and the pressure is 29.99" and rising. The dew point is 57F and visibility is 10 miles. Winds are from the east but calm. Yesterday's high was 79F and the overnight low was 64F.
Today...A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs 78 to 82. Southeast winds 5 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.
