I live right in the middle of the lower peninsula of Michigan. Our Great Lakes protect us from much of the extreme weather in other states.

In spite of the freezing rain advisory of last night, I woke this morning to a dry deck and no sign of any ice. There was 0.01" in the gauge but not enough to result in any slippery spots. Believe me, I'm not complaining. Our temps will moderate a bit over these next few days but still not up to where they should be for this time of year (low 40s). Since we are having all of this frigid weather now, I can't help but wonder if we will see above-normal temps in December. That's the way the weather has been going all year. Crazy! Whatever it is, I just hope that we have snow for Christmas. There is some dangerous travel weather predicted for over the Thanksgiving weekend in the eastern seaboard area, so I hope everyone is careful in their travels.
Right now (8:45 AM EST), our temp is 30F, the humidity is 71%, and skies are overcast. The dew point is 28F and winds are from the SSW at 6 mph gusting to 16 mph. The pressure is 30.01" and steady. The wind chill is 26F. Our high yesterday was 34F and the overnight low was 29F. Normals for this date are H 42F / L 28F. The record high is 63F set in 1964 and the record low is -7F set in 1949.
Today: A slight chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 35. Southwest wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Tonight: A chance of snow showers before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 20. North northwest wind 8 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
