I live right in the middle of the lower peninsula of Michigan. Our Great Lakes protect us from much of the extreme weather in other states.

Once again, Michigan is under the influence of cool Canadian air. The temperatures have been below-normal for most of our April but warm air is in the forecast for next week. I've given up on my hydrangea bush blooming this summer since most of the buds have been damaged by frost. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what it does. It may surprise me.
The dopplar has been showing showers over our area all day but with the low humidity, there wasn't a drop.
Right now (6:30 PM), our temp is 49.1F, the humidity is only 34% and winds are light at 4 mph from the east. Skies are overcast. Sunrise this morning was at 6:33 AM and it will set tonight at 8:35 PM. Here's what our forecast looks like for the early part of the week:
Late This Afternoon...Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of light rain...Then partly cloudy. Near steady temperature in the mid 40s. East winds 5 to 15 mph.
Tonight...Mostly clear. Record lows 25 to 29. East winds 5 to 15 mph...Becoming light and variable.

Today was not a good one to be out and about. What began as a very pleasant morning turned quite cold and very windy. Temps did make it up to 70F by noon, but started a down slide once the winds picked up. Our windows were open first thing this morning, but now it's almost cold enough to have the furnace on.
Yesterday was very pleasant with a high of 70F, and we did receive a total of 0.76" of much needed rain. We got a nice shower in the morning, then more overnight.
Today was cloudy all day with our highest wind gust at 44 mph at the Owosso airport. Right now (9:30 PM), we continue to have sustained winds of 27 mph but those should start diminishing at any time. A wind advisory has been in effect all day. Tomorrow should be sunny with light winds although temps will only make it up into the mid 50s. This will be the norm for this week with chances of rain almost each day.
